Maude Hall Boyer

Maude Hall Boyer passed away peacefully with her beloved family by her side on September 29, 2011.

A funeral service for Mrs. Boyer will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Stover Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

She was born on July 13, 1915 in Warren County, Virginia, the daughter of the late J. E. Wm. Tazwell Hall and Mary Susan Steed Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by ten siblings.

She was married to the late Leonard Morris Boyer "Jake" of Strasburg, Virginia. She retired from Rocco after nineteen years of service. She was a member of Strasburg Christian Church, but attended The First Assembly of God Church in Winchester for the past twenty years.

She is survived by three children, Peggy Cox of Winchester, Virginia, Nancy Staples of Stephens City, Virginia, and Donald M. Boyer of Winchester, Virginia; five grandchildren, Donald Cox, Brooks Staples, Kevin Staples, Kelly Bartles, and Robert Boyer; one great-grandchild, Chenoa Staples; and one sister, Catherine S. Kirby of Front Royal, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Brooks Staples, Kevin Staples, Robert Boyer, Donald Cox, Marvin Hall, and Francis Hall.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Stover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Strasburg is serving the family of Mrs. Boyer.
