Death of Mrs. Mary Niswander

At 6 o’clock on yesterday evening, Wednesday, April 21, 1926, Mrs. Mary Niswander passed at the home of her daughter Mrs. Samuel Shutters, of Timberville, Va., from complications incident to old age.

Mrs. Niswander, who was the daughter of the late Christian and Susan Simmers, was born near Lacey Spring, 89 years ago, thought she spent most of her life near Quicksburg.

Mrs. Niswander was the widow of the late Erasmus Niswander and eight of their children survive, who are as follows: Mrs. Samuel Shutters, of Timberville; Mrs. Mary Wise, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Robert Orr, of Catlett, Va., and Messrs. C.C. Niswander, of Ohio; J.S. Niswander, of Iowa; T.C. Niswander, of near New Market, and J.F. Niswander, of Maurertown.

Ms. Niswander was a member of the Church of the Brethren for years. Her funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday, 2 o’clock, from the Shutters home, Rev. John Glick officiating. Interment will be made in the Cedar Grove cemetery north of New Market.
