George W. Printz died at his home near New Market, Va., March 25, 1901, after a lingering illness of some months. He was born in Madison county, Va., Sept. 25, 1873. His age was 27 years and 6 months. He was a quiet, peaceable, and good citizen, a consistent Christian, a kind and gentle husband, and was respected by all who knew him. Two years ago he was received by letter into Emmanuel Lutheran church, and since that time his life has been marked by the Christian's walk. During his illness his trust in the Savior was strong and at the time of death gave assurance to his loved ones that he died believing. He leaves to mourn his departure a devoted wife and daughter, brother and a large circle of relatives and friends. His body was buried in St. Matthew's graveyard. Funeral services were conducted by his pastor Rev. E. H. Kohn, assisted by Dr. J. A. Snyder.
