Death of Miss Dorothy Lloyd

Dorothy Lloyd, daughter of Nancy C. Lloyd, departed this life, near New Market, Va., December 31, 1901, having been born February 23, 1883. She was buried in Emmanuel graveyard, Jan. 1, 1902. In 1899 she became a member of Emmanuel Lutheran church by adult baptism, and at the time of her death was in full communion with the church. her illness was brief. She was aged 18 years, 10 months, and 7 days. Funeral by her pastor Rev. E. H. Kohn.

At the time of her death she was living with and employed in the family of Mr. Abram Burkholder on the John E. Roller farm on Smith Creek. She had been there employed several months and her services gave entire satisfaction.
