Death of Mr. Chas. G. Spitzer

A telegram received Monday night, at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Spitzer, near this place, announced the death of their son Mr. Charles Gideon Spitzer, that day. He left here three years ago, and was employed in a tin-plate factory at Middletown, Ind., and some time ago, having by close application and economy secured a competency, went to Indianapolis, Ind., where he was attending school, taking a theoretical and practical course in electricity. Having contracted fever, he was in the hospital at Indianapolis for five weeks, and then went to the home of his sister Mrs. George C. Zirkle, near Middletown, to fully regain his strength before returning to school.

Though at first he was able to visit Middletown, he suffered a relapse, and died within about two weeks afterwards. He was 23 years old, and bore an excellent character.

Last Christmas, his sister, Miss Cornelia Spitzer died at the home of their sister Mrs. Zirkle, where another sister Miss Amanda Spitzer now resides.

Tuesday afternoon, Miss Annie Spitzer left here to attend her brother's funeral and expects to remain in Indiana for an indefinite period----Mr. James Spitzer being the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Spitzer now at home.
