Death of Carson E. Neff.

Mr. Carson Eugene Neff, son of the late Elder and Mrs. A.C. Neff, was born April 20, 1866, and died at his home in Takoma Park, Washington, D.C., May 4, 1926, aged 60 years and 14 days.

Mr. Neff was in ill health for about five years - the last ten weeks of his life being spent in bed. The family have been unremitting, and have spared no expense, employing efficient physicians and nurses at the Sanitarium and at their home, in an endeavor to bring back to Mr. Neff his former strength and health, and when this seemed to fail, to do all in their power to alleviate suffering and make his last days on earth comfortable and pleasant. Mr. Neff bore his suffering with that patience characteristic of the man, and was fully resigned to the will of our Heavenly Father.

On December 29, 1890, Mr. Neff and Miss Minnie E. Woods were united in marriage, the ceremony being performed by the late Elder B.W. Neff, an uncle of the groom. From this union three children were born, two of whom survive.

Practically all of his life was spent on the farm in the vicinity of his former home near Quicksburg, first with his father, and later at their home close by the old homestead. Four years ago the family moved to Takoma Park, Washington, D.C., where then resided at the time of his death.

Mr. Neff is survived by his wife, who is the daughter of the late Jacob H. Woods, one daughter Miss Myrtle Esta Neff, at home; one son, Floyd E. Neff, student at the Loma Linda Medical College, Loma Linda, Calif.; and by the following brothers and sister; Mrs. Amy A. Brackett, Toledo, Ohio; Dr. A.M. Neff, Richmond, Va.; Prof. John ...
