Iva Leota Mowery

Mrs. Iva Leota Mowery, 80, of Clary, died Saturday night at 12:15 in Lynn Hill Nursing Home near Middletown. She had been in failing health for a number of years and suffered a stroke of paralysis about six weeks ago.

  She was born June 11, 1879 at St. James, a daughter of William Henry and Rachel Racey Strosnider.

  She was a member of the Shiloh Evangelical United Brethren Church.

  Her husband James Edward Mowery, died March 21, 1945.

  Survivors are the following daughters and a son: Mrs. Ernest Godlove (Bertha) of Winchester; Mrs. Nellie O'Brien of Springfield, WV; Isabal Mowery, and Irvin Mowery, Strasburg, and two sisters: Mrs. Rose Biercamp, Hanover, Pa., and Mrs. Frank Bly, Strasburg, and fifteen grandchildren.

  The body rests at the Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg, and will be removed on Tuesday to the Shiloh E. U. B. Church at 1:30. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Bayles officiating. The casket will not be opened after the service.

  Burial will be made in the Lebanon Church Cemetery.

  Pallbearers will be: Roy Keller, Bill Lineburg, Clyde Himelright, Herbert Bly, John and Ray Miller.

  The family will meet at the funeral home at 1:45 on Tuesday.
