Bowman Cemetery near Carmel

Cemetery is located on private property, "Wide Meadow Farm", on St David's Church Road. The photo below shows the hill on which the cemetery is located. Directions from Borden's lists published in 1984, some things may have changed since that time.: From Carmel, take Rt. 769 east 1.2 miles to a farm. The cemetery lies about 200 yards southwest of a house at the edge of Rt. 769 and the gate to a farm field. There are five fieldstone marked graves without inscriptions. Borden was told it was a slave burial ground. It is also possible the members of the Burner family lie here, the original owner was Airhart Burner.
