ROMNEY - Mildred Louise Heare, 86, of Romney, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001. Born Dec. 26, 1914 at Westernport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Martin L. and Mary Jane (Smith) Good. Mrs. Heare is also preceded in death by her husband, Ray H. Heare in 1985. Mrs. Heare retired in 1976 from Hampshire Memorial Hospital having enjoyed a long career as a nursing assistant. She was a member of the Romney Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Heare is survived by two sons, David L. and Fred D. Heare; one sister, Beulah "Boots" Michael; three granddaughters; three grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great great -grandchild. The family will receive friends at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney. Memorials may be made to the Romney Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements are under the direction of the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney.
