Treva Virginia Weatherholtz, 76, of Route 2, New Market, died Monday at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Flat Rock Church of the Brethren by the Revs. Steve Mason and Ben Hinegardner. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Weatherholtz was born Sept. 8, 1917, near Broadway, daughter of the late Joseph Clinton Custer and Vernie Reedy Custer Andes, and foster daughter of the late Rawleigh and Minnie May, by whom she was raised. She was employed by National Fruit Products and Camelot Hall Nursing Home. She was a member of the senior citizens group in Mt. Jackson, the Flat Rock Church of the Brethren and the Women's Fellowship of the church. She was the wife of the late Leonard N. Weatherholtz. Surviving are a son, Lawrence L. Weatherholtz, three daughters, Doris J. Weaver, Shirley A. Raines and Janet F. Stroop; three brothers, Hubert Andes, Guy Andes and Berlin Andes; two sisters, Nellie Price and Vada Bare; a foster sister, Stella Brown; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway or at the Weatherholtz home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flat Rock Church of the Brethren or a charity of choice. |
