Arch Milton Baker, 96, of Rt. 1, Mt. Jackson was pronounced dead on arrival Tuesday night, Dec 30 (1980) at Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital.

  The funeral was Friday and burial was in St. Luke's United Church of Christ Cemetery near Timberville.

  Mr. Baker was born Oct. 17, 1884, in Shenandoah County and was a son of the late Milton and Annie Williams Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ressie Rinker Baker.

  Surviving are two daughters, Iva Kipps of Vienna and Mary Jackson of Sterling; four sons, Cecil Baker of Woodstock, Harold Baker of Winchester, Arthur Baker of New Castle, Pa., and Charles M. Baker of Bluemont; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.
