I believe all of us doing family research in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia have a fondness for Duane Borden. His love of genealogy led him to our cemeteries and from there to transcription of cemetery stones and compilations of marriages.
Karyn Borden Ball, daughter of Duane Borden, is proud to share with us some other accomplishments of Duane Borden.
Duane died on March 25, 2003 after many years of suffering from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. I am sure that Duane is now having a wonderful time with his ancestors and grinning from ear to ear each time he sees us turning the pages of his many books in our quest to find our own ancestry.
