QRYTEXT: i am looking for the burial site for ALEXANDER E JOHNSON and his
wife RACHAEL KIDD. I found a deed in Carroll County, Va where Alexander sold some land he owned in Carroll. The deed stated that he and his wife were residents of RUSSELL COUNTY, VA and it was dated 1914. At this time Alexander would have been around 80 years old. I think he and his wife are buried there in RUSSELL. This is the information I have on them:
ALEXANDER E JOHNSON BORN AUGUST 29, 1834-DIED UNKNOWN
He had 2 brothers WILLIAM A and Mc CALVIN JOHNSON.
All three served in the civil war with the 21st North Carolina Troops
Company C, from Surry County, NC. After the war they moved to Carroll County and then Alexander moved on into Russell.
Any help would be appreceiated. It is my intention to erect a marker at all three gravesites telling about their service to their country. I have found the other 2, but as yet have been unable to find Alexander's.
