stands for "Crockett") JONES. I have only been able to locate him in the 1860 census records
for New Garden, Russell County, Virginia and in CW Records (37th Virginia Infantry and Co. D,
22d Virginia Cavalry, in both cases accompanied by Lieut. John W BALL). In the 1860 census he
is listed as 18 yoa, a cabinetmaker, and residing in the household of John W BALL, a
cabinet-maker. I have no further information other than he was born about 1842, but where ?;
died, when and where? In Summer 1862, David married Leah Jane Fletcher (also listed in the 1850
and 1860 censuses as living in New Garden in the household of Basil Fletcher (died before 1860)
and mother, Sarah (lnu). Leah was born abt 1845) in Russell County and my g-grandmother,
Emmalou Rita Jones was born in November 1863. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

in Russell Co., but her mother, Flaura Beatrice Jessee (d/o Samuel & Frances Narcissus Ellen
Jessee) was born in Tazewell Co., and I believe her husband's family lived there & in Russell
Co. His name was Herbert Byron Moore, b. 1898, in Scott Co., VA. His parents, my great great
