1796-1800, the same William JONES that migrated to Franklin County, Indiana in the early
1800's? Note: Elizabeth ALLEY whom married Squire OSBORN migrated to Franklin County in 1810.
Squire accidentally drowned during their first venture west in 1808/9. Curious if this William
JONES is the same due to the others that migrated and families do sometimes tend to stick
together. Two children are Isaac JONES and probably Rebecca JONES.

also said her father was J.B. Quinn. Her name is Connie "Horton" as I knew her. Her mother was Ella Belle Dean. I know she had some children by a Horton. Connie married Ed Mullins about 1927. I have not found the county they got married in yet, nor a birth record not even a delayed one. Does the coal company keep records we could look through. I would love to say pictures too but I don't know if I would know her if I saw her. I only saw her once in my life. I did go by Dante one day when I was visiting my sister in Coeburn. a small community, are there houses up all those hollers.

Francois Pierre DE TUBEUF fled France in 1791. With a loan from the state of Virginia for 600
pounds, he purchased land in Russell Cty, VA to organize a French colony on the banks of the
Clinch River. De Tubeuf along with Louisa DUCHESNE, Charles DE SPADA (my ancestor), Cesar
LEFEBRE, Eusebe DELAPLANCHE, and Simon PERCHET executed the bond for the loan. The settlement
was called Sainte Marie on the Clinch. DE TUBEUF was murdered in 1795 and the settlement must
have folded when his sons went back to France about 1803. I know that my gggggrandfather,
Charles DE SPADA, had a child who was in Baltimore in the 1820s. Does anyone know what happened
to the these French immigrants and where they went. I'm particularly interested in Louisa
Duchesne -- maybe she became my gggggrandmother. Any information would be most appreciated.
