This being my last will and testament I William Monk sen. desire the following distribution of my property to wit, to my wife Fanny Monk I will and bequeath all my household furniture and our bay mare four years old, and one cow to be chose by her and six hogs and three sheep to be chose by her to have and to hold during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided among my sons and daughters to wit Shadrick William and Sally Fanny Polly Betsy and Betty and further desire my gray horse and all my stock not willed to my wife to be sold and the money equally divided among the above named heirs, and I desire the conditional line between the lands I give John Monk and Charles H. Monk to remain ___ true line between them and to my sons John Monk and Charles H. Monk in addition to what I have give give them I will them the sum of one dollar each, I desire that Charles H. Monk be appointed to make sale of my property after my death pay my juss debts and divided my property according to this will

This instrument of writing was exhibited in Court as and for the last
Will and Testament of William Monk deceased and proven by the oaths of Joseph B. Fields and John Browning the subsribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Charles H. Monk executor therein named who made oath and together with Joseph B. Fields and John Browning his securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $500 conditioned as the law directs, certificate is granted the said Charles H. Monk for obtaining probat of the said will in due form.
