I William F. Campbell of the County of Russell and State of Virginia being of sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make my last will and testament. In manner and form following to wit.
1st, I will and devise that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executor herein after named, out of any money that I may have, giving him the right to sell my Black horse, roan cow, & calves, or so many of them as is necessary to raise money to pay the above named debts. Said property to be sold privately.
2nd, I will and devise to my wife Elizabeth all of my household and kitchen furniture including saddles, guns, sewing machine, & clock. My wagon, and all my farming utensils.
3rd, I will and devise unto my wife all my real estate to have and to hold until my youngest child is twenty one years of age, then said real estate to be divided equally between my four sons James M., Joel, Thomas W., and William E., my wife to still live at the old homestead with the one it's alotted to, having the right to draw from all the lands equally for her support during her natural lifetime.
4th, I will that my wife give unto James M., my young bay horse, & that she give unto Joel, Thomas W., & Wm E., a horse a piece at such time as suits her, so that they each get their horse by the time they are twenty one years of age.
5th, If my wife should at any time marry again, then my Executor will proceed according to law to sell all of my property both real and personal, except such as she can hold under law and divide equally between my heirs.
Lastly, I constitute and appoint J.R. Campbell Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking all other former wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this the 12th day of August 1884.

Signed, sealed and delivered in our presence and in the presence of each other, by the said Wm. F. Campbell as his last will and testament, and desired us to witness the same as such.

At a Court of quarterly session begun and held for Russell County at the Courthouse thereof on Tuesday the 7th day of October 1884. The last will and testament of Wm. F. Campbell was this day produced in court and proved by the oath of Wilson E. Campbell one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who stated on oath that he witnessed said will and the request of the said Wm. F. Campbell and in his presence, whereupon said will was ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Joel R. Campbell, the Executor named in the will who took oath of an Executor prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of four hundred dollars together with W.E. Campbell as his securities thereto conditioned as the law directs a cetificate is granted him for obtaining letters of probate of said will in due form.
