I, Isaac Munsey of the County of Russell and State of Virginia being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
In the first place, I direct that enough of my personal estate shall be sold to pay my funeral expenses and my just debts by my executor hereinafter named and the remainder of personal estate I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Patsey trusting that at her death she will make an equitable distribution of the same among my children and grand children.
2nd, I give unto my wife all my lands in Russell County to have and to hold the same during her natural life upon the condition that Rebecca Munsey and her children who are the widow and children of my son Charles Munsey deceased are to have their support on said lands during the life time of my said wife.
3rd, After the death of my wife, I direct my executor hereinafter named to sell all my lands to the highest bidder on a credit of twelve months and that he pay over the proceeds of said sale, after paying Martha Boyd, the wife of Charles D. Boyd the sum of fifty dollars to make her equal in advancement with my other children. To Harvey P. Munsey, David Munsey, Martha Boyd, Mary Riley, the wife of Thomas J. Riley, and to the children of my Son Charles Munsey deceased.
The above amount to be paid to my daughter Mary is for her use and that of her children free from the control of her husband, Thos. J. Riley
Lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint Wm. B. Aston my executor hereby revoking any Will by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of November 1867.

As a codicil to this my last will and Testament and in explanation of the same. I desire that the share taken by the children of my son Charles, deceased, is to be one childs share of the funds just as my son Charles would take if alive with my other children and Rebecca the wife of my said son Charles is to come into the paid share given to Charles children and to have an equal portion of said share with each one of her children and to draw the said share for herself and her children and appropriate it properly. At a Court continued and held for Russell County at the courthouse on the 5 day of September 1871.
The last Will and Testament of Isaac Munsey was this day produced in court and partially proved by the oath of J. F. McElhenney one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and also by the oath of Dale Carter a subscribing witness to the codicil of the said Will and the further proving of said Will is continued until tomorrow.
At a Court continued and held for Russell County at the courthouse on the 6th day of September 1871.
The last Will and Testament of Isaac Munsey was this day again produced in court, and the proof thereof completed by the oath of Thomas Fortner and ordered to be recorded and thereupon Wm. B. Aston the executor therein named appeared in court and refused to qualify as such. And on motion of Charles D. Boyd who took the oath of an administrator prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged a bond in the sum of $1000, together with Robert Mason & J. H. Munsey his securities thereto conditioned as the law directs. A certificate is therefore granted him for obtaining letters of administration with the Will Annexed on the estate of Isaac Munsey decd. in due form.
