In the name of God Amen. I George Martin of the county of Russell and Commonwealth of Virginia being low in body but of sound mind memory doe this fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve make and constitute this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit - I commit my soul to God who gave and my body after my deseace to buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my executors hereafter named. 1st my will is that after my deseace all just debts shall be paid. 2d. I give to my loving wife Sally the bed and furniture which she brought with her when we married - also the furniture of the cubard, the crop of flax wool and cotton and one fourth part of what my personal estate will sell for. 3d. My will and desire that my Executors shall take my two sons John Fletcher and Elisha and bind them both to some good trad to the best advantage for the children - if not provided for by myself before my deseace. 4th. My will and desire is that all my personal estate except which I gave to my wife shall be sold by my Exets at twelve months credit and let out on interest till my two sons John Fletche and Elisha arive to the age of men - then equally divided between the both
Lastly - I nominate and apoint Wilson Vermillion & Elijah Webb Executors of this my last will and testament revoking all other wills heretofore by me made. In witness thereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written

This instrument of writing was exhibited in court as and for the Last Will and Testament of George Martin decd. and proved by the oaths of Wilson Vermillion and Andrew Martin two of the witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded And on motion of Wilson Vermillion and Elijah Webb executors therein named who made oath and together with John Burk their security entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of four hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining probat of the said will in due form
