I Elijah Webb of Russell County State of Virginia, do hereby make my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.
1st, I desire that so much of the perishable part of my estate be sold after my decease as shall be of value, sufficient to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses.
2nd, I desire that there shall be no appraisement of any part of my personal estate nor any sale thereof except for the purpose above mentioned.
3rd, I give to my beloved wife Elizabeth, all my personal estate for her support and maintenance and for the support maintenance and education of my children during her widowhood, and desire that she shall have the entire management thereof and should anyone or more of the children marry or leave the family, that she advance to such child so much as she in her discretion may see fit, and she be able to spare. I also desire that my wife have the use, occupancy & produce of my lands lying in said county for the purpose aforesaid until my son John William Webb arrives to the age of twenty one years, except one hundred & twenty acres herein devised to my sons Joseph Webb & Mitton Webb, and one hundred acres herein after devised to my son Elijah Webb.
4th, I give to my son Joseph Webb seventy acres of land at the west end of a survey of one hundred and twenty acres lying on both sides of P_____ mountain, including the improvement on which he now lives, to be enjoyed by him and his heirs forever.
5th, I give to my son Mitton Webb fifty acres of land being the residue of a 120 acre tract, seventy acres whereof are herein before devised to my son Joseph Webb, to be divided by a line drawn nearby North Crossing the mountain, to be enjoyed by him and his heirs forever.
6th, I give to my son Elijah Webb one hundred acres of land lying in Russell County, joining the lands of Samuel and William Taylor, being the same which I purchased from David Bissett, to be enjoyed by him and his heirs forever.
7th, I give to my son John William Webb the tract of land on which I now live, containing one hundred acres to be enjoyed by him and his heirs forever.
8th At the death of my wife Elizabeth, or her marriage which even may first take place, I give to my daughters Elizabeth & Nancy, all and singular my personal estate that may remain or be accumulated.
9th, I give to my daughter Catharine Fuller five dollars & no more. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 31st day of July 1826.

This instrument of writing was exhibited in court as and for the last will & testament of Elijah Webb deceased, and proven by the oaths of David Robinson and Joseph Webb, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and on the 7th day of same month it was further proven in court by the oath of William Price, the other subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
