I Aaron Hendricks of Russell County and State of Virginia being weak in body and calling to mind the uncertainty of life, and wishing to make a distribution of my estate both real and personal, do make the following distribution viz: I have given to my daughter Sally W. Hanson the interest on a bond executed to the said Sally W. Hanson by my son Andy F. Hendricks for one thousand dollars the legal interest of said bond is to be paid to said Sally W. Hanson at the end of every six months commencing with my death, and also a bond on my son Aaron L. Hendricks for the like sum and payable in the same manner as the one above described on my son Andy F. Hendricks. I also give to my daughter Sally W. Hanson the amount of an account which I have against her for the sum of one thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight dollars and thirty-seven cents, and after my death I wish all my just debts and funeral expenses paid, and the residue of my estate both real and personal I desire to be equally divided between my two sons namely Andy F. Hendricks and Aaron L. Hendricks, each accounting for what they have already received. I hereby constitute and appoint my two sons namely Andy F. Hendricks and Aaron L. Hendricks my true and lawful executors to this my last will and testament. Given under my hand and seal this 10th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two.

At a court held for Russell County , at the courthouse on Tuesday the 7th day of September 1852.
This instrument of writing was exhibited in court as and for the last will & testament of Aaron Hendricks deceased, and proven by the oaths of Robert Boyd, E. D. Kernan, William Cromwell and James S. Browning the subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Andy F. Hendricks and Aaron L. Hendricks executors therein named, who made oath according to law, and said Andy F. Hendricks with John T. Smith, Harvey Gray, Aaron H. Nash and Dale Carter his securities, and the said Aaron L. Hendricks with William B. Aston, Henry D. Smith, John T. Smith, Dale Carter and J. F. McElhenney his securities, having entered into and acknowledged bonds each in the sum of fifty thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs, certificate is granted them for obtaining probat of said will in due form.
