Zaddock Nathaniel Thompson

Zaddock Nathaniel Thompson was born in January of 1853 in Russell County, Virginia to Jacob and Joanna Owens Thompson. He married Mary Wallis, daughter of James and Jennie Wallis on November 7, 1876 in Russell County. They had one son name Melvin who was born August 14, 1877. Melvin died of a fever on November 28, 1877. Mary Wallis Thompson drowned on July 15, 1878. Zaddock then moved to Wayne County, West Virginia where some of his family already resided. Zaddock married Ada Frances Crabtree, the daughter of Solomon T. Crabtree and Cassie Ferguson on September 11, 1879. Solomon Crabtree was also originally from Russell County and moved to Wayne County about 1850. Zaddock and Ada had ten known children. Zaddock, or Dock as he was commonly known, died on Bartram Fork Creek, near East Lynn, Wayne County, WV in the summer of 1942.
