William & Nancy "Smith" Dye

William Dye was born 13 Mar 1826 in Russell Co., Virginia, the s/o Pryor Dye, Sr. & Carlotta Carter. In 1852, probably in Russell Co., he married Nancy Smith, the d/o Stephen & Frances Smith. Nancy was born 12 Oct 1824 in North Carolina. Nancy died in Russell Co. 12 May 1894 and William died in Russell Co. on 11 Apr 1918. Both are buried in the William Dye family cemetery which is located on Rt 637, on a farm over the hill from the Honaker Elementary School.
