John Wesley Robinson was born in Russell Co., Va. in 1822, the son of David Robinson and Sarah Francisco. About 1846 he married Melissa Etter. Melissa was born in 1822. John and Melissa had 5 children: Henry, Sarah, Mary, Victoria and Charles Wesley. John and Melissa both died in 1904 and are buried in the family cemetery on Robinson Ridge.
