Granville H. Ferguson - Born 13 Apr 1831, RusCo, VA, son of Mary and John Ferguson; m(1) 20 Jun 1854 to Minerva Samples, b 1 Dec 1835, dau of Ann (Redwine) and Lewis Samples; m(2) to Sarah C. Price, b Oct 1823. Minerva died ca. 1876-77 and is buried in RusCo, VA. Granville and Sarah died in Nov 1906, Nickelsville, Scott Co, VA. Granville died from pneumonia within 48 hours after Sarah's death. Both are buried in the family cemetery, Scott Co, VA. Granville served in the 72nd Virginia Militia under Capt. McFarlane's Company in the 6th Battalion of the Confederacy. He was a farmer in RusCo, VA until ca. 1878. The 1880 Census shows him as a farmer in Scott Co, VA with his second wife, Sarah.
