Francis Marion Artrip was born in Russell County, VA on 07 Aug 1853, the son of James Harvey Artrip & Rachel Breeding. On 06 Apr 1880 in Russell Co. he married Nancy Jane Kiser, daughter of Andrew A. Kiser & Patsy Jane Dotson. Nancy was born in Russell Co. on 09 Jan 1863. Francis died on 29 Jun 1938 and Nancy on 14 Mar 1944. Both are buried in the Artrip family cemetery at Artrip, VA.
