Flemming Perkins was born abt 1827 in Grayson Co., VA., the s/o William Perkins & Catherine Mitchell. Abt. 1847 in Russell Co., VA he married Sally Ray, the d/o John Ray & Elizabeth Hess. Sally was born abt. 1828 in Russell Co. Sally died 29 Jan 1876 in Russell Co. Flemming then married on 29 Jan 1877 in Russell Co., Rachel "Taylor" Dye, the d/o Nimrod Taylor & Elizabeth Whitt and widow of Henry Dye. It is not known when Flemming or Rachel died, but Flemming was supposed to have died from cancer that had developed on his ear.
