Cynthia Ann Ball was b. 02 Nov 1832 in Russell Co., VA, the d/o James Ballard Ball & Jane Tunnell. Abt. 1848 she married Abner Lester who may have been a son of John Lester & Nancy Stiltner. She married 2nd, David Tiller, s/o Samuel J. & Nancy Elizabeth Tiller. Abner Lester & Cynthia Ball had the following children: 1) Martha J. Lester, m. William A. McFarland 2) Nancy Lester, m. James Carol Presley 3) James Lester, m. Angeline Arms 4) Spencer Lester, m. Rachel Street 5) Mary Lester, m. John Sutherland 6) Jefferson Lester, m. Ellen Cary 7) Eliza Lester and 8) Barbara Lester, m. 1, Larkin Sykes and 2, William Tiller. David Tiller & Cynthia Ball Lester did not have any children. Cynthia died in 1920 and is buried in the Tiller Cemetery on Rt 80, between Council and Davenport, VA.

Note by Michael Dye: I had previously received this photo from someone who had claimed it was Annie Musick Stinson Fletcher, d/o Elexious Musick & Lydia Thompson. However, I found the same photo on Lou O'Quin's website. I have conferred with him and he relates that his mother is adamant that this is in fact her great grandmother Cynthia Ball Lester Tiller and I have therefore changed the info here to reflect this.
