William Francis & Lucinda "O'Quinn" Combs

William Francis "Blue Bill" Combs was born 05 Jan 1840 in Russell Co., Va., the son of Thompson Combs and Virginia Anne "Jenny" Francis. He married Lucinda O'Quinn, the daughter of Wiley & Elizabeth O'Quinn. Lucinda was born 14 Jun 1842. William and Lucinda had two children: Arie Mae, who married Luther Wright and Virginia Beauty who married Lihu Wright. William also had two illegitimate sons, Adolphus Combs by Annie "Combs" Wilson and Albert Lockhart by Jane Lockhart. Lucinda Combs died 19 Jan 1924, and William died 04 Dec 1924. They are both buried in the Independence Church Cemetery near Big A Mtn., as well as William's son Albert Lockhart and his wife Vina "Gilbert" Lockhart.
