Archy Graham Dye was born August 1880 in Russell County, Virginia, the son of Alfred Dye and Eliza Ann Plaster. On 27 Aug 1902 he married Amanda Eva Call the daughter of James Lammey Call and Electra Catherine Wilson. Amanda was born about 1885 in Russell County. Archy and Amanda had 9 children: 1) Claude G. born 08 Nov 1903, married Bertha Griffith; 2) Hobert M. and 3) Robert J. born abt 1908; 4) Lola E. born abt 1910; 5) Lucy Virginia born abt 1913, married Harold Kinzy Barrett; 6) Elsie Mae born 26 Jul 1914, married Victor Ulysses Osborne; 7) James Russell, Sr. born abt 1917, married Draper Arlene Compton; 8) Ruby Catherine born abt 1921, married Bernard Stuart Hale and 9) Pauline. Archy died in 1931 in a coal mining accident and Amanda died in 1971. Both are buried in the Call Family Cemetery in Swords Creek, Va.
