James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all To whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye, That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant, Number ten thousand and twenty two issued the twentieth day of December one thousand seven hundred and eighty one there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Abraham Hayter a certain tract or parcel of land containing four hundred acres by survey bearing date the second day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven lying and being in the County of Russell on the south side of Weavers Creek and bounded as followeth To wit, Beginning at a white oak and poplar in Hayters Valley thence north forty five degrees west one hundred poles to a double poplar on the side of a hill, south forty seven degrees west ninety four poles to three white oak saplings on the side of a steep hill, south twenty five degrees east fifty poles to a white walnut sugar tree and sassafras sapling near the top of said hill, south fifty five degrees west one hundred and ninety poles to a sugar tree and dogwood on the top of said hill, south seventy degrees west thirty six poles to a sugar tree and maple on the side of said hill, south fifty degrees west sixty two poles to two oaks near the top of said hill, south fifty five degrees west one hundred and seventy poles to a poplar and beech on the top of said hill, south forty five degrees west two hundred and sixty poles to an ash cedar and spanish oak on the north side of said hill opposite the big spring, south forty five degrees east one hundred poles crossing the said Hayters Valley to a spanish oak and white oak on the top of a ridge, thence north forty eight degrees east eight hundred and twenty poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Abraham Hayter and his heirs forever. In witness whereof the said James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereto set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the seventh day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety eight and of the Commonwealth the twenty-third.

James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all To whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye, That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant, number ten thousand and twenty two issued the twentieth day of December one thousand seven hundred and eighty one there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Abraham Hayter a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres by survey bearing date the second day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven lying and being in the County of Russell on both sides of Weavers Creek and adjoining a survey of the said Hayters of four hundred acres and bounded as followeth To wit, Beginning at three white oak saplings at the foot of a steep hill, corner to said four hundred acre survey, thence north thirty two degrees west forty poles to a white oak on a line of John Thompson and with the same north eighty five degrees west twenty six poles to two cherry trees and a poplar corner to said Thompson and with another of his lines south five degrees west twenty three poles to a red oak white oak and poplar sapling in said line, thence leaving said line, south seventy degrees west thirty two poles to a maple and white oak on the top of a ridge, north eighty poles to a double mulberry on the side of a ridge, north seventy five degrees east sixty poles to a white oak, south thirteen degrees east sixty poles to three white oak saplings on the north bank of said Weavers Creek, north thirty eight degrees east one hundred poles to a poplar and beech in the edge of a bottom, north ten degrees east sixty eight poles to a black oak, north thirty eight degrees east forty two poles to two white oaks, north ten degrees east one hundred poles to a white oak, south eighty degrees east twenty two poles to a spanish oak and beech on the bank of said creek, south five degrees east eighty six poles to a beech, south thirty degrees west one hundred and twenty poles to a beech and sourwood, south ten degrees west sixty poles to a double poplar on the side of a hill corner to the said four hundred acre survey of the said Hayters and with a line of the same south forty seven degrees west ninety four poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Abraham Hayter and his heirs forever. In witness whereof the said James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereto set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the eighth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety eight and of the Commonwealth the twenty-third.
