It is really nice to visit my home of long ago via the internet. Lebanon
was my birthplace as my fathers before me. I miss the hills and pleasant
demeanor of the people of Southwest Va. Thanks for sharing it once again
with me. After 23 years in the military roaming the world I've settled
in the New Orleans area for job related reasons, but may return some day
to Ole Virginia.

maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Dewey Dallas Powers (Lacy Leona
Amburgey).
Dewey was killed in a mining accident in 1950 or 51, I'm not too sure.
Granny, Lacy Leona (Loana or Loan) Amburgey Powers was born October 7,
1901.
Most of their married life was spent in either Russell County (Dante) or
in Dickenson County (Trammel).
