Comments: I'm looking for data on the Spencer Breeding whose 1835 will shows a wife Hannah and his kids. His girl, Syndesta, md. Ruel P. Osborne. They were my gg or ggg grandparents. Can anyone tell me who Elizabeth Finney actually was? I saw her listed as his wife and his mom. Was his wife really Hannah Hicks, d/o Claibourne and Elizabeth? Also, I saw reference to some lost wedding records. How can I find those? Helllllllp! I am truly impressed with the amount of data amassed here. I would appreciate any help on Stacy, Breeding, Osborn, Riffe, Muncy, Charles, etc. lines. I saw several more married into them- Kiser, Artrip, Rasnick, etc. I'd like to learn how they fit also. I'm learning how to put my lines into Family Tree Maker, but am just starting. Most are on single family sheets, handwritten, with tons of notes. I do try to document my sources and verify them with other records. I found my Breeding line by accident when I saw the will-never knew until then.Sherynn

Comments: I need other data if anyone can help. My grandmother, Liza Jane Mullins, was a Wise Co. native. Her parents were John Andrew Mullins and Mary Eliz. Hunt. John A.'s parents were Solomon and Elizabeth Mullins. These are not the Solomon and Elizabeth Hall Mullins --their son md. Elender Mullins. The set I need lived over near Wyoming Co. and McDowell Co. WVa. about 1860-1880. I need to find out who the parents of this Solomon were. Does anyone know where he and Elizabeth died and are buried? Also, there are some given names, like Clemman/Clemont, Montreville, Taze/Tase, that I am curious about. Does anyone know the history of these names? For example, are they nicknames, real names, and who was the first local person named that? What general areas did these Breedings live in? Also the Osborns-- Benjamin and Susan, Solomon and Hannah, who were Solomon Osborn's parents? I was happy to hear of the project of tracing the migration of the ancestors--that is probably my favorite part of doing genealogy. Anyone out there with any answers to any of these questions or wonderings? Sherynn

Comments: I notice that my name, etc. didn't appear on my first entry, about Spencer Breeding, et al. And I realized I had moooore questions. Names of these old towns or areas - where are they now and what are they called? Also, does anyone know how the older Osborns from New River Valley fit into the N.C. Osborns--did they just move around and settle here? Are they two different bunches with the same names? Please help me sort them out. I wonder about the Lower and Upper areas on the old tax lists--where were they? Where did Spencer Breeding live? I have figured that most of my kin, Mullins/ Osborns, etc. lived from Pound or Clintwood over to Grundy, across the mountain and into McDowell Co., W.Va. Also, I think Hannah Breeding remarried after Spencer's death to a McReynolds-- can anyone verify this? I have soooo many questions, I hardly know where to start. If I have some Breeding related or Osborn related cousins researching these lines, please help me get mine untangled and where they belong. Also my Muncy lines go back to Thomas and Abigail/Clarissa. I've heard she was a Harrison from Ohio--anyone who can tell me about her out there? A related line, the Charles, seems to have come from N.C. to Buchanan Co.-- lots of Fredericks and Georges, Johns, etc. One girl, Sidnia (Sis) Charles was one of my gg's-I'll have to figure out which level. She married Archibald Muncy, as I recall. I'll quit here, and just say if you can help any on any of these three inquiry forms, please do. I'll share any data I have. Sherynn
