Comments: Am descended from Kindred Hale and Louisa Bernard who lived in New Garden Township beginning in the mid-1860's and possibly continuing until deaths. Their children: Lazarus Hale, b: 1847, settled in Buchanan County, VA where he raised a large family; Wiley Mitchell Hale (from whom I'm descended), born 1852, returned to Hawkins County, TN in the late 1800's; and Martha E. Hale, born 1854, married a Thompson with possible Wythe County connections, and died in the 1890's in either Russell or Wythe County. The lines Wiley and Lazarus are pretty complete, but I have little else on Martha Hale. I'm also missing death dates and locations for Kindred Hale and his wife, Louisa Bernard. I have no indication that they returned to Hawkins County, TN where they both were born. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks John Hale
