Comments: I visited Russell County's web page several years
ago - how far you've come! A lot of work and dedication. The quality of
your work is going to make me have to revise my opinion of doing research
by 'internet' rather than by researching the actual court records.
Currently I'm trying to locate William and Mary Vaughan/n's descendants
who scattered out from Grayson County to Wythe, Russell, and Wise,
includes surnames: Jessee, Beverly, Dorton, Minton, Kelly, Hartsock,
Wheatley.
I also have descendants of Robert Warrick in Wise and Russell Counties,
includes surnames of McCoy and Holbrook.
Anybody out there who thinks they might be related, would like to hear
from you.
Vaughan Family History, descendants of William and Mary Vaughan, covering
11 generations and 1,600 individuals is being prepared for publication.

Russell marriage I had discovered years ago. But had not rreally
researched them well. I saw them here and went back to my files and
there I had the answers to questions no one in our families could solve.
I am so thankful for this site. The picture of Jonathan Skeens and Sarah
Munk is a family treasure. Please thank the person who put it there. I
knew the picture existed but had not seen it since I was a child. Now my
