Comments: I am looking for more information on a William Cody of Surry County, NC and Russell/Scott Counties,VA. He was in Russel by 1789 and it is known he and his family lived for a short period near Kingsport, TN in the VA/NC disputed area known as "Squabble State." I believe he married a Stacy (daughter of Judith Stacy of Mitchell's River in Surry)and had a son named Thomas, Sr. Cody.
