Comments: I have visited here many times in the last year
while researching my HOBBS/HONAKER lines. This is still one of the best
genealogy sites I have found. My "kin" are George Hobbs and Lydia
Honaker, Samuel Hobbs and Charlotte Gross, Anna Hobbs and Nicholas
Honaker, Mary Hobbs and James Gibson, and Matilda Hobbs. George, Samuel
and Anna all settled in Russell county, per 1870 and 1880 census, as did
George's oldest son JOHN HOBBS who married Sarah J. unknown. George and
Lyida's children all moved to Lincoln Co WV, except John . and Mary
Hobbs and James Gibson moved to Clay Co WV. However, there must still be
HOBBS descendents from Samuel Hobbs and JOhn Hobbs and HONAKER
descendents from Nicholas and Anna Hobbs who may still live in Russell
County. If you are researching these families, email me, I will glad to
share what I have.
