Comments: Andrew and Jerusha (Ellington) Caldwell were my
great-great gandparents. They migrated to Illinois about 1830. Most of
their 10 children were born in Virginia, (Nathan Ellington, William, John
D., Henry Dickenson and James Hanson--twins--Rebecca, Elizabeth and
Francis--twins, and Margaret and Sidney--twins). Andrew's father is a
William Caldwell, born in York Co., PA, and supposedly a grandchild of
John and Margaret Phillips Caldwell. Does anyone have an accurate line of
descent for William Caldwell? Does anyone know if he was the grandchild
of John and Margaret, the "Cub Creek" Caldwells who came from Northern
Ireland to Delaware and thence to Cub Creek, Virginia? Does any
descendant have the family Bible of Andrew and Jerusha Caldwell?
