Comments: Looking for Steele data: Francis Marion Steele
(called Dirty Franc for marrying a Native American). There were 3 of
these Francis Steeles born around the same time in the same area. Mine is
the son of Edmund & Phoebie McMeans Steele. My F.M. was born 1838 in
Tazewell Co. VA. He was married in 1858 to Melissa Prater and divorced
her in 1878 right after their youngest child, Berton, was born. Any help

Comments: We have been able to locate someone with
information that has lead us to help find my Fathers Grand mother it only
took about 4 hours just because we didn't have the correct last name.

born to Reese and Elizabeth Fields in 1829. They lived on Cedar Creek,
Russell Co. Virginia near Clinch Mountain. He married Martha Redwine and

couldn't get a Copy of Records of My Ancestors 1840's to 1890's in
Russell Co.,VA., as I was told the Old Records had a Binding & since they
