ROBERT M. AND MARGARET A. BARRETT TO JOHN C. BARRETT

This deed made Nov.12 1903 between Robt. M. and Margaret A. Barrett his
wife of the county of Russell State of Virginia. The other part witnesseth
that for and in the consideration of $100.00 to them in hand paid the
receipt of which payment is hereby acknowleged the said parties of the
first do hereby grant unto said parties of the second, a certain tract of
land situated in Russell on the North side of Clinch River and bounded as
follows. Beginning at a double poplar double lynn and sugar beech on the
bank of Clinch river corner to Moses Hurt line and with their line N71W to
chestnut tree in said line at the corner fence then leaving said line to a
stake west of John Barrett's barn from said stake to forked beech on the
bank of Clinch then with same and up said river to the beginning containing
ten acres be the same more or less to have to hold unto said parties of the
second part his heirs assign forever against the claims of all persons
whomsoever with the covenants of general warranty. Now it is distictly
understood that the parties of the first part reserve right to mineral
interest in the above desribed piece of land. Witness the following
