Evans Cemetery, Eagle’s Nest Branch, Castlewood
Sometimes referred to as Kiser Cemetery. Located to the east of Eagle’s Nest Branch, which flows into the Clinch just above Carterton. From Castlewood, cross to north side of Clinch, take Red Oak Ridge Road (Rt. 628) east toward Herald Valley and continue on 628 past Carterton until it intersects with Eagle’s Nest road. Jog right on Eagle’s Nest road for a few yards then bear left onto dirt road for about 0.3 mile. Or, if approaching from the north, going east on Gravel Lick road, turn right onto a gravel road, Rt. 700, which is Eagle’s Nest road. Continue for about 1 mile, just past the intersection with Rt. 628, then turn left onto dirt road to cemetery.
