Hale - Herndon Cemetery
Cemetery is located on the Marvin & Judy Ray farm. Coming from Rosedale, go to King & Queen Carpet, turn right on rte. 640, go to where rte's 640 and 636 come together and turn left on rte. 636, go to rte. 711, turn right onto rte. 711, Abt 1 mile on right, thru a gate. You will need to get permission from Marvin or Judy. If you ask they will go to cemetery with you. Really nice people. According to Marvin this was Hale Cemetery. There were several graves here marked with field stone and the stones I found were lying here and there. Marvin wanted me to let any kin out there know that this cemetery was a mess and he would be glad to see them clean it up. Marvin also said that a Richard & Minnie Hale and their daughter are buried here.
