Bond to King George II by George Hume Surveyor of Orange County Know all men by these presents that We George Hume Thomas Chew & John Bramham are held and firmly bound unto Our Sovereign Lord King George the second his heirs and Successors in the sum of Five hundred pounds Current Money to the which paiment well and Truly to be made to Our Said Lord the King his heirs and Successors we bind ourselves our heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Witness our hands and Seals this XXX day of November MDCCLI. THE CONDITION of this obligation is Such that if the above Bound George Hume shall well Truly and faithfully execute and perform the office of Surveyor of the County of Orange during his Continuance in the said Office then the above obligation is void and None affect otherwise to remain in full power force and virtue G Hume LS At a court held for Orange on the 30th day of November 1751 this Bond was acknowledged by the said Hume Chew and Branham and ordered to be recorded Test.
