Officers Killed in the Line of Duty

Town Sergeant Cole arrested two suspects after a disturbance at a local Burkeville restaurant. He took the suspects to another business owned by a Justice of the Peace. Once inside, the suspects fled with Cole in pursuit. Shots were exchanged. Cole and one of the suspects were killed. The suspect that was killed was found with a firearm that was used to murder a restaurant owner two years previously.
