This Indenture Made this 12th day of October Eighteen hundred and ten Between Peter R. Beverly and Lovely his Wife of the County of Fairfax and Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and Robert Braden of the County of Loudoun and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part,
Witnesseth that the said Peter R. Beverly and Lovely his Wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Nineteen hundred and thirty two Dollars and ten cents Lawful Money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said Robert Braden the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge hath Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth Bargain and Sell unto the said Robert Braden his Heirs and Assigns forever all the Reversionary Right and fee Simple Estate of Ferdinando Fairfax in and to a Certain Lott [sic] of Land
[page 196] being part of a Larger Tract in Loudoun County called Piedmont now in the possession of said Robert Braden under a lease for lives yet unexpired Which said Lott [sic] among others in the said tract of Piedmont was conveyed unto Joseph Lewis Ju’r. by the said Ferdinando Fairfax and by Joseph Lewis Jun’r Sold to Carter Beverly and by Carter Beaverley [sic] Sold and Conveyed to the said Peter R. Beaverly [sic], but for greater Certainty as to Title and Situation Reference is hereby Made to a deed of Relinquishment of Dower Executed by Elizabeth Blair Fairfax Wife of the said Ferdinando Fairfax in Conjunction with her said Husband November 10th 1799 and of Record in the County Court of Loudoun And Bounded as follows Begining [sic] at a [unreadable] White oak Corner to Jonah Thompson Thence with his line S 67 3⁄4 W 127 1⁄2 poles to a pile of Stones in Thompsons fence his Corner thence with another of his lines S 77 W 74 poles to Thompsons Corner and McCarty’s in the Milldam thence with McCarty’s Line S 3 E 92 pols [sic] to a Stone on a hill side Corner to Edward McDaniel thence with his line N 88 E 144 1⁄2 poles to a Stone in a field corner to McDaniel thence with another of his Lines S 3 E 80 poles to a small Hickory Corner to Thomas Stevens thence with his Line N50 E 144 poles to a White oak
[page 197] his corner and in a Line of William Smith thence with his line N 2 E 69 poles to a Stone his Corner thence with another of his lines S72 E 122 poles to a pile of Stones in the Edge of an old Field his Corner thence with his line S36 E 9 1⁄2 poles to a Stone Corner to John Cummings thence with his line N54 E17 1⁄2 poles to a Stone his Corner and Courses [?] to John Nicklen thence with his line N 3 W 39 poles to two Stumps and a Stone Corner to William Virtz. thence N. 832 W. 100 poles to a Stone in a Field thence N.5. W.16 1⁄2 poles to the Begining [sic] Containing one hundred and Seventy two acres three quarters and twenty poles Together with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto Belonging excepting the Rents due Mrs. Sarah Fairfax during her Natural life To have and to Hold the said Lott [sic] of Land with its appurtenances except the rents aforesaid unto to the said Robert Braden his heirs and assigns forever to their only use and behoof And the said Peter R. Beaverly [sic] and Lovely his Wife for themselves their heirs Executors and administrators doth hereby Covenant and agree to warrant and defend all and Singular the premises Hereby Granted and Conveyed unto the said Robert Braden his heirs and assigns forever free from the claim of them the said Peter R. Beverly and Lovely his Wife and from every other person whatsoever except
