proof). Hugh BRADLEY left his will in Fauquier County, Virginia before 21 Oct 1795. We
do not know when Richard BRADLEY died; however, Frances is listed as the head of
house in the 1830 Census.

In the Name of God Amen. I Catharine Campbell of Fauquier County think proper to make my will. I submit my soul to God in hopes of mercy that my body be buried according to discretion of my friends all My estate. I devise in the following manner to all - After all my just debts be paid the remaining part of my estate to remain in the hands of my daughter Francis, while she continues sole for the benefit and support of herself and children and after her death the proceeds of said estate to be distributed equally

In the Name of God. Amen. I Dixon Robinson of Fauquier County and State of Virginia being in a low state of health but in a perfect mind do make this my last will and testament, namely:
1. I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Ann Robinson all my estate both real and personal during her natural life or widowhood.
2. I give to my son Henry [the] negro Lewis.
3. I give to my daughter Mary Robinson one negro girl named Dianna.
4. I give to my daughter Fanny one negro named Leanna.
5. I give to my son Jackin Robinson one negro boy named David.
6. I give to my daughter Sally one negro woman named Rose and her increase.
7. I give to my daughter Anne one negro man named George.
8. I give to my son Dixon one negro boy named Harry.
9. I give to my daughter Felicia the firstborn children of Dianna and Leanna.
10. I give to my son Nathl. one negro boy named Simon.
11. I give to my daughter Lydia one negro woman named Hannah and her increase.
12. I give to my daughter Elizabeth one negro girl named Matilda and her increase.

Should any of the legatees die without issue their property designated shall be sold and the money arising therefrom be divided among them which are living.

Should any of the beforementioned negroes die previous to the legatee becoming of age the valuation of such a negro shall be made good to each legatee out of the sale of the property after my wife's death or marriage.

After the death or marriage of my wife the whole of the property is to be sold, the land on twelve months notice to the highest bidder, and the money to be divided among the legatees then living.

I do appoint Carr Bailey and Samuel Weaver executors to this my last will and testament. January 31, 1816. Dixon Robinson
