LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ROBERT
A. LUNSFORD

In the name of God Amen! I, Robert A. Lunsford of the Town of Petersburg, Virginia, being of a sound and discriminating mind do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Barner one negro woman named Hannah and her increase to her and her heirs forever. I give unto my son John R. Lunsford to him and to his heirs forever, one negro boy named Lewis. I give unto my son David A. Lunsford to him and his heirs forever one negro boy named Adam. I give and bequeath unto my wife Celia Lunsford both of my plantations lying in the County of Dinwiddie, one adjoining the lands of Samuel ________, Richard J. Butterworth, William Roberts and on the stage road; the other being the same I purchased of William F. Barner, adjoining the lands of A. Thrweat, A. Jolley, John Davis and _________________ the above plantations I give unto my wife to sell or to hold as she may think proper. I also give unto my wife Celia Lunsford Six Hundred dollars in cash to her forever. Should there be any part of my Estate which I have not named in this my last Will I now give such part unto my wife Celia Lunsford and to her forever. I now nominate and appoint my wife Celia Lunsford Executrix to this my Last Will and Testament, without giving any security. I now acknowledge this to be my last Will and Testament revoking all other wills. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the 8th day of February, 848. Robert A. Lunsford (by his mark) Witnesses: William H. Maddox At a Court held for Dinwiddie County on the 15th day of May, 1848. This last Will and Testament of Robert A. Lunsford deceased was presented in Court, and proved by the oaths of William H. Maddox and D. Grigg subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And at another court held for the said county on the 19th day of February, 1849. On the motion of Celia A. Lunsford executrix named, who made oath thereto, and entered into bond in the penalty of six hundred dollars, conditioned as the law direct, certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate of the said will in due form.
