Tesco Tilley Dalton

Tesco Tilley Dalton, 88, of Martinsville, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Memorial Hospital.  She was born March 5, 1921 in Lawsonville, Stokes County, NC to the late Frank and Cora Lawson Tilley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Noel Dalton; three sisters, Eula Sigmon, Una Mae Kelley, and Sterling Beasley; and five brothers, Hassell, Roscoe, Claude, Tommy, and Eldridge Tilley.

Mrs. Dalton was a member of the Old Center Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as Treasurer and Trustee. She retired from Pannill Knitting Company in 1980.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and Jack M. Hodges of Ridgeway; her granddaughters, Sandra Kaye Durham and husband, Eddie of Callaway, and Brenda Sue Childs and husband, B.J., of Durham, NC; great-granddaughters, Casey Jean Durham and Ashley Susan Childs ; and special caregivers, Barbara Rea of Fieldale, Michelle Ratcliff of Bassett, and Sheila Brewer of Martinsville.
