Rudolph Dalton Pelham, Caswell Co NC Rudolph Van Dalton, 68, of Dusty Lane, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at Danville Regional Medical Center after two years of declining health and one week in the hospital. Born Nov. 11, 1932, in Danville, he was a son of John Dalton and Nellie Caviness Dalton. He was married to Mary Blanch Travis Dalton, who predeceased him March 30, 1993. He lived his life in Danville, where he was employed with James R. Evans and Son Construction prior to his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include two sons, Larry Dalton of Danville and Ricky Dalton of Henderson; one daughter, Peggy D. Rose of Wilmington; two brothers, Jack Dalton of Mississippi and Pete Dalton of Danville; three sisters, Lucille D. James of Stuart, Va., Lutrica Dalton of Danville and Gertrude Dalton of Mt. Airy; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased, in addition to his parents and wife, by one brother, Roy Dalton.
