Reba Dalton Myers
  Gretna, Pittsylvania County, Virginia
Reba Dalton Myers, age 87, of 2717 Spring Road, Gretna, died Monday, Jan. 14, 
2008 at her residence. Born July 6, 1920, in Pittsylvania County, she was a 
daughter of the late Charlie Anderson DALTON and Mary Yeatts Dalton. Mrs. 
Myers was predeceased by her husband, James Louis Myers; a grandson, Kenneth 
Phelps; one brother, Carroll DALTON; and seven sisters, Irene Myers, Vivian 
Dalton, Pearl McCracken, Frances Marsh, Gertrude Myers, Gillie Mae Dalton and 
Gillie Ida Dalton. She was a member of Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church 
and was a home maker.

She is survived by one son, Gary L. Myers and wife, Sabrina of Dry Fork; two 
daughters, Faye M. Phelps and husband, Carl of Rustburg, and Emily M. Jacobs 
and husband, G.W. of Gretna; a foster son, David Myers and wife, Carmen, of 
Petersburg; five grandchildren, Sheila Callahan, Sandra Williams, Vickie 
Johnston, Dixie Cummings, and Davy Myers; eight great-grandchildren; and seven 
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on 
Thursday, Jan. 17 at Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Raymond 
Goad and Elder Marvin Brumfield. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
